背景介绍
AbFlex antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. Each AbFlex antibody contains a 6xHis Tag, a Biotinylation Tag for enzymatic biotin conjugation using the biotin ligase, BirA, and a sortase recognition motif (LPXTG) to attach a variety of labels directly to the antibody including fluorophores, enzymatic substrates (HRP, AP), peptides, drugs as well as solid supports. AbFlex Mili / PiwiL2 antibody was expressed as full-length IgG with mouse immunoglobulin heavy and light chains (IgG2a isotype) in mammalian 293 cells. Mili / PiwiL2 is a member of the PIWI/AGO subfamily of RNA-binding proteins. Mili / PiwiL2 contains a Piwi and an AGO domain and binds a class of RNA called piwi-interacting RNA (piRNA), which are 24 to 30 nucleotides in length and are derived primarily derived from transposons and other repeated sequence elements. Mili / PiwiL2 is required for methylation and inactivation of retrotransposons. Mice deficient in Mili / PiwiL2 are sterile, as it is also required for spermatogenesis. It also positively regulates translation, and is required for germ line stem cell division and differentiation.
