背景介绍
The protein ACRV1, also known as SP-10, is an acrosomal matrix protein, which is evolutionarily conserved among mammals. It is associated with the matrix of the acrosomal vesicle in developing spermatids and the acrosomal matrix and membranes of ejaculated sperm (PMID: 8288254). Human ACRV1 protein has 11 isoforms, and molecular weight ranges from 9 to 28 kDa. ACRV1 was predominantly located in round and elongated spermatids in the testis, indicating that ACRV1 may play an important role in mammalian spermatogenesis and may be a target of a contraceptive vaccine (PMID: 21488928; 8874713).
