Background Information
PDE5A (cGMP-binding cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase) plays a role in signal transduction by regulating the intracellular concentration of cyclic nucleotides. This phosphodiesterase catalyzes the specific hydrolysis of cGMP to 5'-GMP.
