背景介绍

Alpha mannosidase 2C1(MAN2C1) an alpha-mannosidase, is involved in the trimming of free oligosaccharides in the cytosol. MAN2C1 cleaves alpha 1,2-, alpha 1,3-, and alpha 1,6-linked mannose residues on cytoplasmatic free oligosaccharides generated by N-glycoprotein degradation pathways (PMID: 16848760). Impaired catabolism of free oligosaccharides due to MAN2C1 variants causes a neurodevelopmental disorder (PMID: 35045343).
