背景介绍
Olfactomedin 1 (Olfm1), also known as noelin and pancortin, is a secreted glycoprotein belonging to a family of olfactomedin domain-containing proteins. The gene of Olfm1 is located on chromosome 9q34.3. Four variant transcripts (AMY, BMY, AMZ, and BMZ) are produced by alternative splicing. Olfm1 may be involved in the regulation of neural crest cell production, neuronal differentiation and ischemic neuronal death in adult. This antibody is specific for isoform 3 and isoform 4 (AMY) of Olfm1 with native molecular weights of 54 kDa and 16 kDa respectively. AMY may have an essential role in nerve tissue.
