USP6NL, also named RN-tre, is a GTPase-activating protein (GAP), which stimulates GTP hydrolysis on various members of the Rab family, thereby inhibiting endocytosis of PM receptors and retrograde Golgi transport. It is highly expressed in many cancer types and may promote the growth and proliferation of cancer cells.
