背景信息
Junctional Adhesion Molecule A (JAM-A) is a member of the JAM family of cell adhesion molecules. In epithelial cells, JAM-A signaling modulates cell migration in a β1 integrin-dependent manner. JAM-A is a crucial regulator of leukocyte extravasation and is upregulated in human viral fibrosis. JAM-A functions as a female microglial tumor suppressor in glioblastoma.
